If I receive a payment for a sale, how long do I have to wait to use the money?

When you receive a payment through Mercado Pago, you need to wait until the money is available for use. 

Your funds will be released once the buyer receives the product, and you’ll be able to see the exact date you can access them.

1. Go to Mercado Pago, and search for the amount of money you received in your sale in the “Activity” section. 
2. Click on “Go to releases calendar”. 
3. You’ll be able to see the exact date when your money will be released.
   
   

You can check the total from your sales in the "Money to be released" section.

How is your money available in Mercado Pago? 

In your Mercado Pago account, you'll find three types of money statuses:

1. Withheld money. This amount is reserved due to an ongoing complaint or mediation with your product. It will stay on hold until the complaint is resolved.
   
2. Money to be released. This is the money from your sales that will be available after you deliver the product and the buyer received it. Your money will be available depending on your reputation.
3. Money to be transferred. This is your available money. It is also used to pay fees and charges. If this amount of money is over US$ 500, we will transfer it to you every Thursday.
